Reno, Nev – OEM Systems, the OEM and branded maker of custom-installation speakers, amps and accessories, has appointed industry veteran Richard Frank as director of sales and marketing.
Frank and president Tony Gable said plans are underway to significantly expand their OEM business from the company’s 18,000-square-foot facility.
“As the new construction category seems to be solidifying, and the retrofit home installation market is showing significant signs of growth, [the company] has made a strong move to take full advantage of these favorable market conditions with the hiring of Richard Frank to the post of director of marketing and sales,” OEM Systems said.
Added Gable, “Richard brings to OEM Systems more than 40 years of marketing and sales development experience and a terrific history of hands-on success building sales momentum for a number of the CE industry’s leading brands. His understanding of the customer’s challenges – and how OEM Systems can help solve those challenges — is a rare skill we are anxious to bring to our customers.”
Frank will attend the CEDIA Expo to meet with industry members.
OEM Systems was founded in 1987 to develop custom-installation (CI) speakers for major audio brands. Many integrators later approached OEM Systems for supplies, and OEM Systems began selling CI speakers to integrators as if OEM were the brand name, the company said. When distributors and chain stores came to the company for products, OEM Systems began selling speakers under the Image Acoustics name. Later, the company developed the Preference, Presence, ArchiTech, Sound Terrain and Endeavor brands along with Pro-Wire CI accessories.
