Nyne Adds NFC, Bluetooth 4.0

LAS VEGAS – Nyne plans first-quarter availability of its second-generation portable Bluetooth speakers. Three of the four are the company’s first with nearfield communications (NFC) technology and Bluetooth 4.0 with auto connect, and they will come in at lower prices and sport other feature changes as well.

Those models are the $149-everyday, Nyne Bass, $129 Nyne TT and $79 Nyne Cruiser portable Bluetooth speakers.

Changes to the three models include lithium- ion batteries instead of C batteries, addition of built-in phone charging via USB, and availability of color options. All three feature 10 hours of playtime and four color options.

The Bass, the largest of the portable, features 20-watt output and a hidden carrying handle. The device has a 4,400 mAh battery.

The TT comes with included carrying case, shoulder strap, 16-watt output and 2,200 mAh battery.

The Cruiser comes with handlebar clips that can mount to a bike, exercise machine or baby stroller.

The fourth speaker is the $49 Mini for tweens and teens with Bluetooth 2.1, 5 watts of power and a built-in microphone. It will come in multiple colors with a carrying case and 12-hour battery life.
