NuShield Markets Screen Films For Medical Use

Newton, Pa. – NuShield recently began marketing its cut-to-fit antiglare and antireflective LCD films to the medical industry, which is increasingly incorporating tablets and other handheld devices into it daily protocols.

NuShield films are available in sizes from 1 inch to 80 inches diagonally and are cut to fit the screen as required.

The films are currently compatible with more than 6,000 electronic devices on the market and NuShield is continually adding models to the list, the company said.

NuShield’s DayVue antireflective film provides clarity under bright lighting conditions and is commonly used on monitors in operating suites and mammography monitors, the company said. It combines antireflective technology and scratch resistance, and uses a low-tack silicone rubber-based adhesive to grip the screen surface. The DayVue film is also abrasion- and chemical-resistant and NuShield said it can be cleaned using disinfectants or other caustic liquids without worry of degrading the antireflective properties or damaging the LCD screen.

NuShield also offers Triple A antiglare, antimicrobial and anti-fingerprint film which provides screen visibility with protection against germ growth on displays.

This film uses the same low-tack silicone rubber-based adhesive to grip the screen, and can be cleaned with disinfectants and solvents while the antimicrobial property remains to continually inhibit the growth of germs on the film’s surface.

The antiglare features diffuse glare from overhead lights and allows users to clearly read the display indoors, and also prevents the transmission or reflection of 99 percent UVB ultraviolet light from reaching the users’ eyes during outdoor use.

NuShield’s films are sold through OEMs, distributors, integrators and directly to end users at retail.
