NPD Adds Appliance Tracking Service


Port Washington, N.Y. - The NPD Group has launched a new consumer tracking service for the appliance industry.

The latest tracker, which surveys consumers from NPD's online panel of nearly 2 million participants, offers comprehensive market research on consumer behavior and attitudes, and can provide an accurate, detailed view of the major and small home appliance markets, the research firm said.

, the new appliance tracker features improved survey and sampling methodology with increased transaction counts, and total market size estimates aligned with NPD's point-of-sale data.

The appliance tracker also encompasses such new categories as home health care and dehumidifiers, and offers new services and measures including draw/close rates and enhanced purchase motivators.
