San Diego – Novatel Wireless will roll out the industry’s first mobile Wi-Fi hot spot with touchscreen through AT&T on an exclusive basis.
The MiFi Liberate will be available in the coming months at a price that wasn’t disclosed.
The device operates in 4G LTE. HSPA+21Mbps, and 3G cellular networks. Its 2.8-inch color touchscreen can be used to manage up to 10 simultaneous connections to Wi-Fi devices, view data usage, change network and device settings, and the like. Liberate is also global-ready for use in more than 200 countries, and it offers up to 11 hours of continuous use.
Customers can also use Liberate to share files and media stored on an inserted microSD memory card to Wi-Fi-connected devices, including DLNA-capable devices.
