Arlington, Va. - Companies from Northeastern states and Michigan will have a strong presence during the 2012 International CES to be held in Las Vegas Jan. 10-13.

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), owner and producer of CES, reported that more than 330 technology companies based in the Northeast region of the United States (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont) will showcase their latest CE products at the show.

Michigan's Alan Mullaly, CEO of Ford Motor Company and 2011 CES keynote presenter, will participate in the 2012 CES Innovation Power Panel, discussing how a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship has made him a global leader in his industry.

There will be 54 Michigan companies exhibiting at CES, including Livio Radio (booth 2806 North) showcasing a suite of car Internet radio products and software, and Mophie (booth 4229 North), maker of rechargeable battery cases for Apple's iPhone, iPod and iPad products.

Representatives from Michigan's largest venture capital firm, Beringea, will be attending with four Michigan-based portfolio companies. The firm co-manages the InvestMichigan! growth capital fund for businesses located in or with operations in Michigan.
