Northeast States, Mich., To Have High CES Profile

Arlington, Va. – Companies from Northeastern states and
Michigan will have a strong presence during the 2012 International CES to be
held in Las Vegas Jan. 10-13.

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), owner and
producer of CES, reported that more than 330 technology companies based in the
Northeast region of the United States (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New
Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont) will
showcase their latest CE products at the show.

Michigan’s Alan Mullaly, CEO of
Ford Motor Company and 2011 CES keynote presenter, will participate in the 2012
CES Innovation Power Panel, discussing how a spirit of
innovation and entrepreneurship has made him a global leader in his industry.

There will be 54 Michigan companies
exhibiting at CES, including Livio
Radio (booth 2806 North) showcasing a suite of car Internet radio products and
software, and Mophie (booth
4229 North), maker of rechargeable battery
cases for Apple’s iPhone, iPod and iPad products.

Representatives from Michigan’s
largest venture capital firm, Beringea, will be attending with four
Michigan-based portfolio companies. The firm co-manages the
InvestMichigan! growth capital fund for businesses located in or with
operations in Michigan.

phones, game consoles, tablet PCs and other hot consumer electronic devices;

which will feature the most-concentrated exhibits of digital
imaging/photography products and services.

The 2012 CES is bringing back CES’ fastest-growing TechZone,
the iLounge Pavilion, with more than 300 iLounge exhibitors spanning two
