San Dimas, Calif. — Norcent announced its first 8-megapixel digital camera today, targeting value-conscious consumers.
The DC-820 is a compact model a little over an inch thick for an estimated $179.
It features a 2.4-inch scratch-resistant LCD, 3x optical zoom, VGA video capture and 32MB of internal memory.
The camera will initially be available through the company’s new e-commerce site, alongside traditional retail outlets, later this summer.
