The 850/1900MHz EV-DO Rev. A phone is available for $129 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year service contract through Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and the carrier’s online store at www.verizonwireless.com.

Its external display blends into the black exterior but lights up automatically when an incoming call or text is received. The display shows incoming text messages, alarm clock functions, and songs metadata. Inside, the clamshell opens to reveal a gradient-color keypad, available in silver-fade or pink-fade finishes.

The phone is compatible with Verizon’s V CAST Music with Rhapsody download service and with Verizon’s Visual Voice Mail, which requires a $2.99/month access fee plus any data and airtime charges according to an individual customer’s service plan.

Other features include MicroSD slot for 8GB memory cards, dedicated one-touch camera/video button, 2-megapixel camera with flash, ability to upload photos to customers’ favorite social-networking sites, stereo Bluetooth and a Habitat mode, a Nokia- and Verizon-exclusive feature that presents contacts in chronological order.
