City of Industry, Calif. – Product management VP Michael Amkreutz
is leaving online retailer Newegg.com today.
His merchandising duties will be shared on an interim basis by
North America president S.C. Lee and Bernard Luthi, the company’s marketing,
web management and customer service VP.
In an email, Lee said Amkreutz is leaving for a new position closer
to his family. “We will miss Michael tremendously as a great colleague and
friend.”
Lee noted that Newegg continues to recruit “talented industry
veterans to fill Michael’s role and others — in the coming weeks and months,
we look forward to introducing these new colleagues to you.”
He added that the company is on track to end 2010 with another
record year.
