City of Industry, Calif. – IT and CE e-tailer Newegg.com has
launched a “Hassle-Free Holiday” promotion combining free shipping, an extended
return period and a low-price guarantee on thousands of its most popular items.
The promotion begins today and extends through the balance of the
holiday selling season.
According to Newegg’s marketing, web and customer service VP Bernard
Luthi, the offer covers thousands of the company’s fastest-turning SKUs
including notebooks, video game hardware, A/V and other CE devices.
Products can be returned up to 60 days after receipt, double the
usual period, while the low-price guarantee, which applies to in-stock items
sold online, provides a refund for the difference if a lower price is found.
The free-shipping element reinforces a policy that already provides
free shipping on upward of 70 percent of its SKUs, Luthi said.
Newegg began its holiday promotions Nov. 1 with a Black November
event that includes a daily discount by category discounts, a promotion of the
day, and email and Facebook pricing announcements.
“It will be a good season,” Luthi said. “Consumer optimism is
coming back, and Black Friday will still be the single largest day for most of
us.”
