Sterling, Va. — NEW Customer Service Companies, a leading provider of extended-service plans, buyer-protection services and product support for businesses and consumers, has hired Tweeter veteran David Tovissi to lead and "dramatically expand" its home installation service offering.
Tovissi, most recently president of high-end custom integration firm Criteria, was named NEW’s delivery and installation services director. In his newly created role, he will work to enhance the company’s existing custom install program and grow its current network of certified installers and technicians.
Prior to Criteria, Tovissi spent 16 years with Sound Advice and later Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, where he held various senior management positions including VP of system design and engineering and in-home services. His responsibilities included management of more than 650 Tweeter installers.

To help kick-start the initiative, Tovissi will be recruiting qualified installers at this week’s Electronic House Expo (EHX) in Orlando, Fla. NEW said its installation network partners "benefit from a steady flow of qualified work, factory training, online scheduling, prompt next-day pay through direct deposit and access to a robust resource portal containing manuals, troubleshooting guides and installation tips."
