New York – Seagate today released an updated version of its 1TB
GoFlex portable storage drive.
Seagate revamped the drive by increasing the areal density
available per platter to 500GB, from 375GB, allowing more storage capacity in
the same amount of space, the company said.
The drive ships today with a $179 suggested retail price.
The drive is pre-loaded with a free copy of Star Trek and a USB
3.0 cable.
