Nationwide’s SEN, CEA Partner On Education

Winton-Salem, N.C. – Specialty
Electronics Nationwide (SEN) has partnered with PARA to co-sponsor two free
instructional seminars at the PrimeTime! by Nationwide buying show and
conference.

SEN is a division of the
Nationwide Marketing Group, and PARA is the audio/video division of the
Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).

PrimeTime! by Nationwide is being
held Aug. 15-18 at the Gaylord National hotel, just outside of Washington D.C. The
SEN and PARA seminars will be featured during SEN’s PrimeTime! University
program.

Peter Tribeman, president Atlantic
Technology, will be presenting “The Art of the Demo.” This session will take
attendees through the “golden rules of performance-based selling” and provide
examples of structured demonstrations that excite customers, demonstrate retailer
competence, guarantee higher profit sales and help dealers navigate the art of
selling 3D, SEN said.

In addition,
SEN and PARA are co-sponsoring “Everything You Need to Know about 3DTV”
presented by Chris Chinnock, president of Insight Media and board member of the

3D@Home

Consortium. This PrimeTime! University session is designed to give
attendees the tools to understand what 3D is all about and more importantly,
how to create sales by educating the consumer.

Jeannette
Howe, executive director of SEN, said in a statement, “As a longtime industry
veteran, I have enormous respect for the quality of education PARA has been
delivering and we are honored to be able to co-sponsor this caliber of
education at PrimeTime! University. As a buying group, we are members of CEA
and find tremendous value in the research, benefits and services CEA membership
provides for specialty consumer electronic dealers.”

Kerry Moyer,
senior director of PARA at CEA, said, “PARA is committed to helping dealers
maintain a competitive edge with its ‘Education Series.’ Demonstrating the
promise of new technology is a core value for PARA.  Teaching dealers ‘The Art of the Demo’
supports that.  3DTV together with 3D
Sound presents dealers with a strong one-two punch to get footprints in the
store and people excited about taking the experience home.

“Getting
dealers ready for this new business opportunity is what this year’s programming
is about.”

The Nationwide Marketing Group
represents $12 billion in annual sales, of which more than $1 billion is
generated by over 460 SEN members.
