Nationwide Sees Record Turnout For Dallas Show

Winston Salem, N.C. - Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) is anticipating the largest turnout ever for next week's PrimeTime! buying show and conference.

Nearly 900 vendors and member companies are expected to be on hand for the biannual event, running Aug. 21-24 at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, NMG said. The show also marks the 40th anniversary of the buying and marketing organization, which serves independent CE, majap and furniture dealers.

To help celebrate the milestone, members will receive a booklet at registration filled with "40 Great Ideas" to help draw more foot traffic and increase sales and gross margins. Dealers who visit participating vendor booths to learn more about these ideas will also get a chance to win a $10,000 U.S. savings bond and other prizes including an iPad 2 and iPod Touch.

"This will mark our largest summer showing," said NMG CEO Robert Weisner. "The strong attendance numbers we have seen over this past year can be attributed to the real benefits and value our vendor partners and member dealers are getting at PrimeTime!."

Added executive VP Dave Bilas, "Our goal for the upcoming show is to have every one of our members walk away with more than they came in with, whether that's more money in their pockets from purchases made at the show, building new profitable relationships or learning about innovative marketing and sales strategies that they can implement immediately into their stores when they get back home."

Nearly all of the 30 PrimeTime! University business courses offered at the show have already reached full capacity, Bilas said. The courses, tailored specifically to the independent dealer and held before the show floor opens, include such topics as web development, sales training, financial management and self improvement.

"As instability in the economy ensues and pressures from the big-box chains increase, dealers are looking for us to equip them with the tools needed to strengthen their position in the markets they serve," noted Les Kirk, COO.
