Nationwide Promotes Merchandising, Marketing Execs

Winston-Salem, N.C. — Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) announced several key appointments and promotions to its merchandising and marketing departments as part of a “restructuring plan.”

These promotions include Adam Thomas to appliance marketing senior VP, Mike Decker to electronics marketing senior VP and Rick Weinberg to appliance merchandising VP.

NMG also appointed Doug Schatz to electronics merchandising VP. Schatz was formerly a division merchandise manager for Circuit City.

In a statement announcing the appointments, NMG also said it believes its PrimeTime! Event will host thousands of retailers and vendors, despite the down economy.

“In New Orleans we will be challenging our member dealers to take charge of their businesses, take charge of their finances, take charge of their future by strategically utilizing the benefits that their membership provides and by taking full advantage of all the resources available to them at PrimeTime!,” said Robert Weisner, executive VP of NMG.
