Nationwide Previews PrimeTime! Activities

Winston-Salem,
N.C. – Nationwide Marketing Group outlined plans for its PrimeTime! buying show
and conference, to be held next week at the

Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center

in Orlando, Fla.

Robert Weisner, Nationwide
CEO, said there are several reasons why PrimeTime!, which will be held Feb. 26-29,
is always well-attended by retailers. These reasons include, “phenomenal show
specials and valuable face time they get with key decision makers in the vendor
community. However, PrimeTime! is also about re-charging and gaining fresh, new
insights and strategies that will help build profitability in today’s
marketplace.”

According to
Weisner, the show will be full of opportunities to learn from PrimeTime!
University courses and group meetings right onto the show floor with the new
PrimeTime! Opportunities Expo, 48 Great Ideas Booklet & Giveaway and a
newly updated Prime Media Exhibit.

The new
PrimeTime! Opportunities Expo will be running product presentations on the show
floor throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday.

“We are very
excited to present this new forum that will include 10-minute interactive
demonstrations on the most innovative products and services at the show,” said
Dave Bilas, executive VP. “The PrimeTime! Opportunities Expo along with our 48
Great Ideas Booklet & Giveaway will energize the atmosphere on the show
floor and heighten the exchange of ideas and interaction between our members,
vendor partners & service providers.”

According to
Bilas, the Great Ideas Booklet & Giveaway was first introduced in August at
the last PrimeTime! event in Dallas. It was so well received that Nationwide
and participating vendors decided to put together another booklet which has 48
brand new ideas that will be given to dealers who attend the event in Orlando.

“The booklet is
filled with profitable takeaways that dealers can implement into their
businesses as soon as they get back from the show,” said Bilas. “Dealers who
take the additional time to visit with participating vendors at PrimeTime! will
not only get even more valuable information on these products and services but
will also get a chance to win giveaway prizes.”

Grand prizes
include a complete Electrolux kitchen set and popular products from GE and
Whirlpool.

Nationwide will
be introducing a new PrimeTime! smartphone meeting app to help show goers
navigate the event and get the most out of their show experience. Meeting
times, speaker information, complete vendor listings and maps will all be
available right at their fingertips through their smartphones.

The newly updated
PrimeMedia exhibit will incorporate the latest in floor planning and
advertising materials. The exhibit will come complete with digital signage and
QR codes so that members can see how to implement new forms of marketing into
their showrooms.

“Digital signage
is everywhere you look, from retail stores to doctors’ offices. That’s because
it is an exciting, eye-catching and highly effective way to send out targeted
messages to your customers while they shop your store,” said Les Kirk, COO.

Nationwide owns and
operates PrimeMedia, a state-of-the-art production studio facility near Atlanta
Georgia, where they produce their own network of HDTV commercials, infomercials
and custom video clips exclusively for members, called MemberNet TV.

According to
Kirk, more than 1,000 members’ stores across the country already use MemberNet
TV. The PrimeMedia exhibit at PrimeTime! will show how easy it is to install
and begin using digital signage throughout a store from welcome messages at the
front door to product highlights in appliance departments and rich video imagery
on TV wall displays.

Nationwide
Marketing Group dealers who registered for the PrimeTime! buying show and
strategic member conference before Jan. 30 were entered into a drawing for a
free PrimeTime! hotel stay, Walt Disney World tickets and a chance to win a
Daytona 300 VIP Package.

“We ran these
incentives because we know registering early for the show will save our dealers
money on travel costs,” said Bilas. “Although our dealers tell us time and time
again that the savings they get from show specials like our CashBack Now
program more than pays for their trip to the show, we still wanted to make sure
their initial costs are as affordable as possible.”

The PrimeTime!
hotel stay giveaway was awarded to United Stores member James Clarkson of Hudson’s Appliance Center, Nationwide Southwest
member John Cothern of Rossie
LTD, Nationwide West member Steve
Tucker of Steve Tucker Appliance, Nation’s BrandDirect member Tim McCoy of McCoy’s Home Furnishings,
Nationwide Core member Scott Ottman
of Brothers Main Appliance and TV, and Nationwide Florida member Bonnie Cadbury of Windswept AC and
Appliance. The giveaway included a free hotel room at the Gaylord Palms and a
$100 dining credit that can be used throughout the resort.

“The Gaylord
Palms has several award winning restaurants to choose from and we will also
have special PrimeTime! menus that will be paired options offered at a
discounted price just for show attendees,” said Bilas.

Walt Disney World two-day hopper passes were awarded to United Stores member Debi Cagle of Cagles Appliance Center, Nationwide
Southwest member Rick Mackey of
Mackey Home Appliance, Nationwide West member Trevor Taylor of Video Kingdom – McCook, Nation’s BrandDirect Bob Gelormino of Ebensburg Music Mart
TV, Nationwide Core member Bill Hunt
of Hunt’s TV and Appliance, and Nationwide Florida member Jonathan Martin of Martin’s Family
Appliance Center.

The two winners
of the Daytona 300 VIP Package were Nationwide Southwest member Bill Zolnier,
of Mattress Furniture and More, and Nationwide Core member Jeff Hall, of Bob
Wallace Appliance Sales. They will enjoy a memorable experience at the Daytona
International Speedway (DIS), one of Florida’s most popular attractions.
According to DIS, the rising stars of the NASCAR Nationwide Series will face
off against the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in the 120-lap, 300-mile
event.
