Phoenix, Ariz. — NûVision, a flat-panel television start-up based here, said it is now shipping 26W-inch and 32W-inch Deep Black LCD televisions.
The LCD line, which is aimed at the CEDIA custom installers and high-end A/V specialty retailers, is being handled through the EDGE Distributor Group and through NûVision’s direct-market Web site at www.nuvision.com.
The 26W-inch model carries an expected retail price of $1,499, while the 32W-inch model is listed at $2,299. The company expects to ship 23W-inch, 37W-inch and 45W-inch models in the third quarter.
NûVision LCD televisions feature proprietary NiDO (NûVision Intelligent Digital Optimization) processing, a Deep Black LCD system with 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and NuControl bi-directional RS232 with polling. Other features include a 10ms response time, 500cd/M2 brightness, 1,366 by 768 high-definition resolution, DVI with HDCP, and discrete IR control with IR direct-input jack.
