Irvine, Calif. — Mustek will ship a pair of flash-memory-based digital video recorders this month, the company announced today.
In addition to recording video, the DV700TZ and DV530TZ capture still images and can serve as a voice recorder, MP3 player and Web camera.
The 7-megapixel DV700TZ sports a 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch swivel LCD and a video resolution of 720 by 480 at 30 fps. It saves video on SD cards and to 64MB of internal memory.
It offers a built-in speaker and earphone jack for playing back MP3 files.
The DV700TZ will retail for a suggested $299.
The 5-megapixel DV530TZ, for a suggested $229, records VGA/30 fps video in the MPEG-4 format. It sports a 3x optical zoom lens.
