MSI Releases New Gaming Laptop

City of Industry, Calif. — MSI Computer released its latest gaming laptop, the GE40.

The GE40, which comes in two configurations, features an Intel Haswell processor and uses an Nvidia GTX 760M graphics card. It weighs in at 4.4 pounds and is less than an inch thick.

Its size and weight makes it more portable than other laptops, said MSI. “The GE40 was designed for mobile gamers seeking the best in performance but not wanting to carry around larger laptops,” said Andy Tung, sales VP for MSI U.S.

The two GE40 models are the GE40 20C-009US and the GE40 20C-008US, respectively priced at $1,399 and $1,299.

The first comes with a 128GB mSATA SSD plus 750GB hard disk drive (HDD) while the second has a 750 GB HDD and a DVD drive.

The two models share Microsoft Windows 8, 8GB of DDR3 memory and a full aluminum body featuring a Dragon Eye backlit design. They also have multi-touch touchpads and 8GB of memory.
