Glendale, Calif. – Monster
Cable has collaborated with Disney Consumer Products for a line of Tron-themed
headphones.
The headphones, also
inspired by musicians Daft Punk, were announced to time with the release of
Disney’s “Tron: Legacy” movie, opening Dec. 17.
The Tron headphones are
designed for gaming, music and home theater, Monster said, and are currently
available for $349. They have an LED Light Drive System “to recreate ‘Tron: Legacy’
animated lighting effects,” the company said, as well as Advanced Noise
Suppression technology and ControlTalk.
A Daft Punk version of
the headphones retails for $299.
“This is really a
collaborative effort between Disney designers and Monster,” Noel Lee told TWICE
on Wednesday. “They wanted to put some state-of-the-art electronics with
Monster’s headphones performance. So we
went all out in the product performance.”
