Monster Launches Youth Initiatives

LAS VEGAS —

Monster has announced
a major effort to support
youth initiatives.

The campaign includes a partnership
with Nick Cannon and his company
Ncredible Entertainment, as well as
a new relationship with Dean Kamen in
support of the FIRST (For Inspiration
and Recognition of Science and Technology)
robotics programs.

As part of the endeavor with Cannon,
Monster will create a line of products
geared towards empowering young
people. A portion of all proceeds from
the sales of these products, to be introduced
later this year, will go to support
the TeenNick HALO (Helping And
Leading Others) Awards.

Cannon commented: “I’m looking
forward to this partnership with Monster
and increasing/continuing the
support of these ordinary kids who are
doing extraordinary things.”

Monster will also lend its support to
FIRST, a robotics foundation started
by inventor Dean Kamen in 1989. The
four robotics programs in FIRST help
get students interested in science,
technology, engineering and math.

Kamen noted, “Science really matters.
It is how we have achieved all
that we have in a relatively short time
in history. With Monster’s help, FIRST
is on its way to combining youth’s passion
for music with a sense of the empowerment
gained when you know
you have an expertise that is highly
regarded and sought after in a worldwide
economy.”
