Modia Gets Apple Authorization

Houston – Premium A/V specialty chain Modia Home Theater Store
has become an Apple Authorized Reseller.

The move, said CEO Mihir Mody, will allow its customers to fully
experience how Apple products can provide a simplified, single-source interface
that unifies all their lifestyle technology.

“We see this as a perfect match,” Mody said. “Since the
introduction of the iPod, Apple products have played an integral role in our
design process, and with Apple’s continued expansion of lifestyle and
communication technologies, it only makes sense their presence in our solutions
would grow as well.”

While the customer can buy Apple products at other retailers, Modia
plans to present and demonstrate the company’s “entire line in a very unique
way,” Mody said. “Modia is in a ‘hands-on, real-time’ business. And this kind
of showcase for Apple products simply isn’t available anywhere else.”

The seven-store chain, with locations here and in Dallas and
Austin, Texas, is renowned for pairing premium audio and video components with
proprietary media furniture and installation concepts, and creating unique
retail environments that help customers understand how A/V, security, climate
control and lighting can be seamlessly integrated into their homes and offices.

 A member of the
Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group), Modia was founded in 1986 by
the Mody family and also operates sister companies Gel, a low-voltage blueprint
provider focusing on commercial and multi-dwelling projects, and Mody &
Mody, exclusive furniture showrooms featuring an assortment of luxury brands
for lighting, rugs, wardrobes, kitchens, baths and accessories.
