here Tuesday that Kenichiro Yamanishi has been named the company’s new
president and CEO, effective April 1, 2010.
Yamanishi will replace Setsuhiro Shimomura, who has been named
the company’s new chairman.
Yamanishi, 58, joined Mitsubishi Electric in 1975, as a
researcher in the company’s Applied Equipment Laboratory.
He advanced to Mitsubishi Electric’s executive officer and group
president of corporate total productivity management & environmental
programs in 2006.
In 2008, Yamanishi was named senior executive officer and group
president of semiconductors and devices.
