MESA Expands To 64 Storefronts

Arvada, Colo. –

Mobile Electronics Specialists of America

(MESA) added the four-store Rogers Stereo chain to its member base, which now
numbers 17 dealers with 64 storefronts in 20 states.

With the addition
of Rogers, said MESA president Mike Cofield, the group has almost reached its
stated goal of representing dealers that deliver a combined $100 million in
annual retail-level sales.

The Rogers Stereo
stores operate in South Carolina.

MESA was

founded

in November 2009 as the 12-volt industry’s first marketing and selling group
owned by its retail members, the group said.

MESA provides
dealer members with marketing materials, including fully produced TV
commercials, radio advertising and printed material to share the costs of
high-quality ad layouts and media production, the group said.

MESA also provides
members with group VIR programs, pre-planned product buys with pre-produced
marketing materials, and opportunity buys of vendor overstocks and closeouts.
Members, however, continue to negotiate their own programs and purchase through
their individual representatives,

MESA members also
share best practices, internal forms, sales staff incentive information and
other business information.

Vendor members are
Audiovox, Alpine, AMMP of America / PAC, ATrend, Concept, Directed Electronics,
Escort, Hertz/Audison, HushMat, Ixos, JL Audio, Kenwood, Metra, Rockford
Fosgate and USA Spec.
