Ridgefield Park, N.J. — Travis Merrill, Samsung Electronics America Galaxy Tab marketing VP, has left the company after eight years, according to a letter mailed to members of the press.
To ensure “a smooth transition to continue the positive momentum” of the Galaxy Tab product line, Merrill issued a memo to reporters covering the Galaxy Tab beat that directed future queries on Samsung Galaxy Tab matters to Mike Abary, mobile computing senior VP, who heads up Galaxy Tab marketing among other categories, and Terry Lee, Galaxy Tab marketing director.
In a terse statement confirming the change, Samsung would only say: “We would like to thank Travis Merrill for his tenure at Samsung, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
