MERA Offers Convention ‘Scholarships’

Indianapolis — The Mobile Enhancement Retailers Association (MERA) will offer scholarships to help retailers attend the KnowledgeFest 2009 trade event.

The scholarships will allow retailers to register for KnowledgeFest at no charge, instead of the typical $99 fee. Retailers will gain full access to the event, including education sessions.

MERA said it urges retailers to contact their vendors to receive a scholarship, and it urges vendors to contract MERA to find out how to obtain scholarships for their key dealers.

MERA president Barry Vogel said the organization is “working to help retailers get the education they need in these tough economic times.” He is also offering a money-back guarantee to any retailer who pays a fee to register and feels it was not worth the money.

MERA KnowledgeFest 2009 will be held March 14-16 at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Overland Park, Kan.
