MEGA Group Exhibits At Furniture Show

High Point, N.C. –
Fifteen percent of dealers who visited MEGA Group USA’s first-ever exhibit
booth at the High Point Furniture Market became new members, the home
furnishings buying group said.

MEGA, which serves
furniture, mattress, appliance and electronics retailers, attributed the 15 percent
conversion rate to the booth’s high-traffic location, which gave representatives
the opportunity to explain the benefits of membership to visitors. Services
include group vendor programs, custom advertising and marketing, consulting,
store merchandising, and information technology support aimed at driving floor
traffic, improving sales and profits, and enhancing operating efficiencies.

“We were excited
to show at High Point Market this year,” said MEGA director and COO Jerry
Honea. “Being [the] first time to have a space, we were uncertain what to
expect. The traffic to our showroom and the ability to talk to a number of
buyers and have them become new … members far exceeded our expectations.”

Another
traffic-stopper was a drawing for a pair of Mac Motion reclining chairs valued
at $2,000, for which more than 100 dealers registered.

Also sharing space
at the 750-square-foot booth was GE Money, one of MEGA Group USA’s business
service vendor partners, which worked with current members on consumer financing
options and met with prospective clients.”Having GE Money in our space and
working with our members was extremely valuable,” Honea said. “It provides our
dealer members time to spend one-on-one with GE Money and work together to
provide their customers the very best financing available.”

MEGA has 1,500
members with 2,500 storefronts throughout the U.S. For more information, visit
