Maytag Appliances is restructuring its field sales organization, creating nine market business teams during the second quarter.
The nine business teams, or super regions — each with training and development resources — will report to J. Leo Lovato, Maytag’s VP, field operations. Each team will be led by a regional manager of field operations, with two or three zone operations managers reporting to those regional managers.
In addition, a new telesales function has been created at Maytag’s Newton, Iowa headquarters to provide increased communication and support to smaller-volume Maytag dealers throughout the country.
Jerome L. Davis, senior sales VP for Maytag Appliances, described the move as “a major step toward becoming a world-class selling organization.”
