MainStream Audio Debuts Wi-Fi-Streaming amp160

MainStream Audio announces the MS amp160, a new amplified streaming product designed for custom integrators looking for an all-in-one Wi-Fi streaming and two-channel amplifier solution.

MainStream Audio’s MS amp160 Wi Fi streaming and audio amplifier complements the trio of non-amplified units launched by MainStream Audio in July. The amp160 has been engineered as a two-channel, 160-watt, class D (2×80 L/R) with a Wolfson 24/192k CD quality DAC inside.

It is designed to work in venues where amplification and Wi-Fi streaming is needed to drive indoor or outdoor speakers. At just 7.8 inches by 4.6 inches by 1.4 inches it will fit just about anywhere an installer needs it to.

The amp160 offers multi-room/multi-zone (up to 12 zones) capability and can be set up in minutes via any home Wi-Fi network. The amp160, like the other Mainstream Wi-Fi products, is iOS, Android and PC compatible, while addressing all popular music streaming OS plat- forms. The entire product line supports several third party music stations including v-Tuner, Pandora, iHeartRadio, tunein, Spotify, Tidal and many other ethnic audio services.

“We’re excited to launch the amp160, a product we believe is going to break ground as our most popular amplified and streaming audio system,” said Mark Langley, president of MainStream Audio. “We designed the amp160 with both installers and their customers in mind. It’s truly easy to install and even easier to use. Its small footprint, robust capabilities, and friendly price make it a great choice for multi-room applications.”

MainStream Audio will display the MS amp160, as well as their entire product lineup, at CEDIA in booth No. 1112.
