Maingear Adds Core i7 To Titan 17

Kenilworth, N.J. – Maingear is incorporating Intel’s Core i7
desktop processor in its Titan 17 laptop.

The Titan 17 is geared toward gamers and power users, and it
can now be configured with the Intel Core i7 3960x Extreme Edition (3.30GHz)/(3.90GHz)
in Turbo Mode and 15MB L3 Cache. The other processor choice is the Intel Core
i7-3930K processor (3.20GHz)/(3.80GHz) in Turbo Mode and 12MB L3 cache.

Like all Maingear products, the Titan 17 is configure-to-order.

The 17-inch laptop can be equipped with an Nvidia GeForce
GTX 580M SLI with 2GB of GDDR5 graphics memory or the Nvidia Qaudro 5010M with
up to 4GBof GDDR5 memory.

It can hold up to 32GB of quad-channel DDR3 memory; a
Blu-ray reader or a multi-combo BD-R, DVD+RW or CD-RW drive; a full-size
backlit keyboard; one Express Card slot; and a nine-in-one card reader.

The Titan 17 is intended as a desktop replacement unit. It
weighs in at about 12 pounds.

The unit is available for order now with a starting price of
$3,499.
