Santa Clara, Calif. — MiTAC Digital plans to ship in early August its latest big-screen PND for RV users.
The $349-suggested Magellan RoadMate RV9365T-LMB has a 7-inch screen, joining two other 7-inch RV PNDs at $319 and $349 and a 5-inch model at $299.
The new model sits at the top of the line and, compared to their counterparts, adds such features as a preloaded AAA TourBook and RV Dump Station locations. Compared to the other two 7-inch models, it also adds landmark guidance, next-two-turn visibility, and Traffic Camera Alerts. Those three features are available in the 5-inch PND.
Other key features include hands-free Bluetooth, lifetime real-time traffic updates, lifetime map updates, geotagging, speed-limit warnings, A/V input for a backup camera, multiple-stop routing, Good Sam RV Travel Guide and Campground directory, junction view, lane assist, and touchscreen.
All RV PNDs let drivers customize routes based on their vehicle’s height, width, length and weight to help drivers avoid low bridges, narrow roadways, and weight-limited streets.
