SANTA CLARA, CALIF. – Magellan expanded its selection of portable navigation devices (PNDs) for RV users with the line’s first 5-inch model, which is targeted to RVs with smaller dashes.
The RoadMate RV5365T-LMB will be available in January at a suggested $299 through Magellan’s consumer electronics and online retailers. It will join the company’s 7-inch RV selection, which was expanded in May.
The new model is designed for Class B and Class C RVs and for people who tow recreational vehicles, such as fifth-wheel trailers or boats, the company said. With the RV5365T-LMB, users can input their vehicle’s dimensions, vehicle type, hazmat materials, and navigational preferences to devise the best route to a destination.
The Good Sam Campground Directory and Good Sam discount locations are pre-loaded, providing travelers with North America campground information and amenities such as RV services, petfriendly campgrounds and parks, tent spaces, Wi-Fi and the like.
Features include spoken street names, free lifetime map updates, free lifetime traffic alerts and such safety features a Bluetooth hands-free and compatibility with Magellan’s wireless back-up camera.
