Fremont, Calif. –
A new iPod/iPhone-docking AC/DC speaker system due this month from Logitech at a
suggested $149 features two-way active speaker system and four passive
radiators.
The S715i, which
replaces an AC/DC model, operates for up to eight hours on its rechargeable NiMH
battery. The dock is certified as Made for iPod and Works with iPhone, and it features
a 3.5mm audio input to connect other-brand MP3 players and cellphones.

The portable
system, designed for easy carrying, ships with a travel case.
The two-way
speaker system consists of two 3-inch neodymium-magnet woofers and two
half-inch neodymium tweeters. Bass response is boosted through two back-firing
and two front-firing 2-inch passive radiators.
The included
remote controls iPod menus as well as such functions as power, volume, play, pause,
shuffle, skip and repeat from up to 30 feet away.
