Logitech Debuts Wireless Touchpad

Fremont, Calif. –
Logitech today introduced its Wireless Touchpad, a multi-touch navigation pad
for gesture-based control of a PC.

The 2.4 GHz
wireless pad is more than 5 inches wide and offers up to four-finger gestures
and swipes to scroll pages, jump tabs and switch applications, Logitech said.
It ships with Logitech’s Unifying USB receiver that can support up to five
other compatible peripherals.

The pad boasts up
to four months of battery life. It includes an LED indicator light for battery
level.

“The Logitech
Wireless Touchpad is perfect for people who want to surf the web in a more fun
and natural way,” said Rory Dooley, Logitech’s control devices senior VP/GM.
“It lets web surfers flick through websites and effortlessly scan long pages —
making browsing easier than ever.”

The Wireless
Touchpad will be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning this month for a
suggested retail of $49.99. It is available to pre-order now on

Logitech’s
website
