Newark, Calif. — Logitech unveiled a wireless keyboard with a Window 8-friendly integrated touchpad.
The TK820 keyboard, which uses the company’s proprietary Unifying 2.4GHz wireless receiver, has a built-in 4-inch touchpad that supports 13 multi-touch Windows 8 swipes. Consumers must download Logitech’s SetPoint software; the software also lets users customize keyboard settings and hot keys.
Unifying technology enables consumers to use up to six compatible devices with just one nano receiver.
Design features include a slim profile; keys with rounded edges; and the company’s PerfectStroke system, meant to evenly distribute typing pressure.
The TK820 operates via four AA batteries; battery life is said to be six months. There is a battery-indicator light.
Suggested retail is $99.99. It will be available this month.
