LG’s Weinstock Joining Electrolux

Charlotte, N.C. – LG Electronics’
marketing VP John Weinstock will assume that role for Electrolux effective Aug.
22.

In his new marketing VP post,
Weinstock will oversee brand management, consumer insight-led innovation and
integrated trade and consumer marketing campaigns for Electrolux Major Appliances,
North America.

He will report operationally to division
president/CEO Jack Truong, and functionally to Mary Kay Kopf, the parent
company’s global chief marketing officer.

“John’s track record in strategic
brand development and growth will help take Electrolux Major Appliances to the
next level in North America,” said Truong. “As we seek to further our position
in the ultra-competitive appliance industry through our best-selling Electrolux
and Frigidaire brands, his expertise in marketing will be an asset.”

Weinstock, who was named a “Marketer
of the Year” in 2008 by Brandweek, has spent nearly 20 years in the consumer
durables and packaged goods industries, including the past four as LG’s marketing
VP, home appliances and home entertainment.

Before that he developed and
implemented marketing strategies for Johnson & Johnson, where he managed
brands such as Johnson’s Baby and Band-Aid. He also served internationally for
the company.

Weinstein will relocate to Electrolux’s
new headquarters complex in Charlotte, N.C.
