Seoul, Korea – LG said it would go to next week’s IFA show in Berlin with its first TV-speaker base, joining a wide array of the company’s active soundbars.
Called the Sound Plate, the active TV speaker system is only 35mm (1.38 inches) in height. It’s designed for use with 32- to 55-inch TVs.
The model features 4.1-channel sound system with dual built-in subwoofers. Sound is projected in multiple directions to create an immersive experience, the company said. The system also features Bluetooth for wireless-audio streaming.
