Englewood Cliffs, N.J. — LG Electronics USA has appointed John B. Weinstock as its new marketing VP for digital appliances. Weinstock, formerly of Johnson & Johnson, will be responsible for leading the U.S. marketing and advertising initiatives for LG’s full line of kitchen and laundry appliances.
“John’s consumer marketing and brand-building expertise will support our momentum in the U.S. market and help position the company for continued growth and profitability,” said John Herrington, digital appliances president of LG Electronics USA.
In other news, the company is launching a spate of products at this week’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (K/BIS) being held in Las Vegas. The introductions include a steam dishwasher, which is expected to be available at retail in the third quarter for a suggested price of $1,599, and the company’s first stainless-steel laundry pair, the SteamWasher and SteamDryer. The stainless-steel washer and dryer are also expected to be available in the third quarter for suggested prices of $3,499 each.
