LG Helps Students Learn About 3D

New York – LG Electronics
is teaming up with Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy to help the school
produce 3D content.

LG is supplying the media
arts college with the physical and financial resources to further develop its
3D capability.

The end results of the
collaboration are two 3D short films that will debut at the Tribeca Film
Festival in New York on April 20. The films are on the famous high-wire act The
Flying Wallendas.

“As we continue to bring
3D technology into the mainstream, our goal is to make it more accessible to filmmakers
and consumers alike,” said Peter Reiner, marketing senior VP, LG Electronics
USA. “LG is proud to partner with Tribeca Flashpoint Academy to help
tomorrow’s filmmakers hone their 3D skills, and in turn to help satisfy the
growing desire for 3D content for consumers to enjoy.

LG is also the official
HDTV sponsor of the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival and has installed 50 LG Cinema
3D HDTVs and Blu-ray players in movie theaters and other locations hosting the
festival.
