Raleigh, N.C. — Lenovo reported that it has started shipping its V100 widescreen ultra-portable notebook.
The V100 was announced in March as part of Lenovo’s product portfolio expansion that is intended to further separate it from its IBM roots. The 4-pound unit has a 12.1-inch screen, built-in 1.3-megapixel camera for video conferencing and Wi-Fi; it is available with a variety processors, memory and hard and optical drives.
The V100 began shipping on May 31 with a $1,099 starting price.
