New York – Lenovo has introduced and started shipping the latest additions to its IdeaPad S-series laptops.
The IdeaPad S300, S400 and S405 are powered by Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors, with the S405 being equipped with an AMD A8 quad-core processor. Starting price for all models is $499.
Each has up to 500GB of storage, and the S405 is capable of handling 1TB. The S400 models can also be configured with 32GB of solid-state cache to speed performance.
Features for all include a 14-inch HD display, a weight of less than 4 pounds, and a choice of three colors: Crimson Red, Silver Grey and Cotton-Candy Pink.
All models ship with Windows Home Professional and can be moved to Windows 8 through Microsoft’s upgrade program. The S series has an intelligent touchpad for taking advantage of Windows 8’s touch capabilities.
