Frankfurt, Germany - Korg expanded its line of USB keyboards with the addition of two portable models.
The MicroKey-25 ($69.99
suggested retail) and the MicroKey-61 ($179) are geared toward budget-minded computer
musicians who want a compact and customized MIDI command center, the company
said. They are USB-powered and feature velocity-sensing mini keys, using the
Natural Touch key bed.
According to Korg, the proportions of the black keys and white "waterfall" keys have been adjusted for optimal playability, with a key touch that makes it easy to play chords. Free Korg Kontrol Editor software enables users to customize the device for their production or performance system.
The keyboards also act as USB hubs. They are currently available.
