Kodak Leverages Gallery To Personalizes Photo Frames

Rochester, N.Y. —Kodak said today that it would sell digital frames preloaded with consumers’ personal photos through its Gallery Web site.

Using Kodak Gallery, consumers can order a Kodak digital frame preloaded with up to 100 of their digital images. The images will be stored on an SD card.

Kodak will also sell preloaded SD cards with up to 100 personal images separately for $19.99. The images will be compressed to a size “suitable for display on the frames or printing up to an 8-in by 10-inch photo,” a company spokesperson said. Photos can be transferred from the card to a computer but cannot be erased and the card is not rewriteable, the spokesperson said.

The preloading option will be available on four Kodak frames: the 7-inch P720, 8-inch SV811, 10-inch SV1011 and the Wi Fi-enabled EX1011 and will add $25 to frame’s standard price (excluding shipping).
