Kodak To Add S730 Rechargeable Photo Frame

Rochester, N.Y. – Kodak has introduced a digital photo frame featuring a built-in rechargeable battery with one-hour of playback time and the ability to share images from a PC.

The Kodak Easyshare S730 will launch first this month in Europe, before its U.S. release in September at a

$139 suggested retail price.

Kodak has incorporated a rechargeable battery in the frame to enable unplugging it and passing it around for closer image viewing. It can also be taken on the road like a portable photo album. For that reason Kodak is also offering an optional travel case for $20 to take the battery powered frame with you.

In addition the S730 incorporates a new Picture Finder feature that enables users to quickly and easily locate specific images and videos. When users see a picture in the collage they would like to view closer, they can select that picture, touch the Picture Finder control, and the frame automatically retrieves and displays pictures from that date.

The frame’s viewing modes include a full-screen Slideshow, with the option to change screen views to show the image along with either a clock or calendar. A fourth viewing option is a Collage mode, which scrolls through an entire collection and shows four randomly selected images at a time.

Other features include the following: 1GB of internal storage capacity, capable of holding up to 8,000 pictures at a time; Quick Touch Border, with touch-sensitive controls; motion sensor that illuminates controls as your hand approaches the frame; multi-card memory slot, USB port, synchronization with a PC to run a slideshow with pictures from the computer or play videos and add music to slideshows.
