Stillwater,
Okla. – Kicker is expanding its selection of audio upgrade kits designed for
specific vehicle models.
The
kits add a powered subwoofer to factory sound systems and, as an option, add a
multichannel DSP amp to improve the sound coming from the vehicle’s stock
speakers. All kits are designed to cosmetically integrate into each vehicle for
a factory-installed look.
Kicker
has begun shipping OEM-upgrade kits for the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado and GMC
Sierra trucks. These kits are for the 2009-2012 F-150 Super Crews and Super
Cabs, 2007-2012 Silverado Crew and Extended Cabs, and 2007-2012 Sierra Crew and
Extended Cabs.
By
June, the company plans to ship kits for the 2012 Chevy Sonic, 2011-2012 Chevy
Cruze and 2010-2012 Chevy Camaro.
The company already offers kits for the 2006-2012 Jeep Wrangler and 2005-2012
Ford Mustang.
The
kits are available at authorized Kicker dealers and select Ford and GM dealers
across North America at suggested retails that vary by vehicle.
The
upgrade kits for Ford, Chevy and GMC trucks consist of a 10-inch subwoofer in
an OEM-quality, made-to-fit enclosure with mounting brackets and wiring; a
low-power-draw, integrated 200-watt bass amplifier; and optional multichannel
DSP amp to enhance existing factory speakers. Each kit is tuned to a specific
vehicle.
