Long Beach, Calif. - Kenwood USA announced the appointment of 30-year Kenwood veteran Junji Kobayashi as president.

He succeeds Shoichiro "Scott" Eguchi, who returns to Japan as a senior VP of J&K Car Electronics, after serving as Kenwood USA president for four years.

Kobayashi's previous roles include president of Kenwood Electronics Technologies Malaysia and 11 years in sales and product development roles at Kenwood USA.

"I am very pleased to return to Kenwood USA, and I look forward to working with my staff in developing new strategies and programs that will address the difficulties of the U.S. economy," said Kobayashi.

In Japan, Eguchi will be in charge of aftermarket mobile electronics business development for the Kenwood and JVC brands at J&K Car Electronics, a division of J & K Holdings that was officially formed last October when JVC and Kenwood merged operations in Japan.
