JVC Ships GZ-HM1 Camcorder

Wayne, N.J. –

JVC

said Tuesday that it is now shipping its latest top-of-the-line HD Everio video
camera, model GZ-HM1.

HD Everio model, which carries a $1,200 suggested retail,
combines an array of automatic features to optimize picture quality and
simplicity with manual control options to expand the creative shooting process.

Key areas of performance improvements include low light,
camera-shake compensation and digital still quality.

Other features include 64GB of internal storage and an SD/SDHC
card slot for expandable storage options.

The camera has a 1/2.3 inch, 10.6-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS
image sensor that enables shooting strong images in light levels as low as 4
lux.

Video is captured in resolution up to FullHD 1080.

The video camera will shoot still images in up to 10 megapixels
(ISO 6,400) in still shot mode, and will take up to 5-megapixel still shots
while shooting video at the same time.

Also included are two forms of image stabilization: optical image
stabilization for camera shake through the 16x Dynamic zoom range, and advanced
image stabilization (available while zooming up to 15x) for moving the camera
along with the subject while taking videos.

Creative shooting functions include time-lapse recording in
intervals ranging from 1 to 80 seconds, and high-speed recording at up to 600
fps, allowing ultra-slow motion playback.
