Long Beach, Calif. — JVC Mobile Entertainment announced its Plugged-In Road to Sturgis Tour, designed to supports its network of independent dealers.
The tour, which kicks off May 8, will provide product demos, literature, tech support, live music, motorcycle stunt shows, a model runway show, contests and giveaways in dealer parking lots. It will also incorporate social media and on-air radio station giveaways. JVC noted that it will use local advertising, promotions and club relationships to draw in attendees.
One focus will be educating consumers on the many options for integrating JVC head units with music, entertainment, navigation and convenience mobile apps.
“It is becoming increasingly more difficult to educate and expose consumers to the technology that can be available at their fingertips,” said Chad Vogelsong, marketing general manager, in a statement. “The Plugged-In Tour is a way to drive traffic to our local retailers, [and] educate and entertain potential new fans of mobile entertainment products.”
Tour sponsors include Peavey, SiriusXM, Taylor Guitars, Dunlop, Schecter Guitars and Pearl Drums.
