JVC Mobile Changes Underway

Long Beach, Calif. – JVC Mobile Entertainment announced organizational changes on the eve of dealer and distributor meetings where the company will unveil new products and new business policies.

The organizational changes include the promotion of Ron Trout from western regional sales manager to national sales manager. Trout will oversee all distribution and specialist accounts.

The company also clarified the duties of two people. Jacob Hardin will handle marketing and training development, and Daniel Jones will be responsible for product and design development.

In another change, Carol Yuri was promoted to sales development and administration manager from sales administrator.

The changes precede JVC Mobile’s November 4-7 dealer and distributor meetings, where the company will unveil more than 20 new products and a series of enhanced business policies, said Keith Lehmann, senior VP of JVC Mobile Entertainment and Kenwood executive VP of consumer electronics.

With the product introductions, JVC will focus on new multimedia receivers with HDMI and MHL connectivity, multiple app support, and very intuitive GUI designs, Lehmann said. A new water-resistant digital media receiver will be introduced with the ability to add multiple wired remote controls for marine, ATV, and other outdoor applications, he added.

“New business strategies will be implemented to better serve the specialist retail channel, including enforcement of MAP and transshipping policies,” he told TWICE. “We will also introduce a recommitment to merchandising support and increased sales tools for specialist dealers.”
