LAS VEGAS — JVC announced it will launch a separate mobile electronics company to focus specifically on car audio/video and navigation.
To be called JVC Mobile Company of America, it will assume responsibility for all JVC 12-volt products currently sold by JVC Co. of America as of April 1. The new company, based in Cypress, Calif., will focus on selling to 12-volt specialists, said new VP Bill Tuner, formerly national sales manager for Audiobahn. It will retain the Arsenal brand, he said.
“With a management team focused solely on the car entertainment market, JVC will be able to enhance support for our dealer network and be better positioned to continue our strong growth in the category,” said Shinichi Takada, president of JVC Mobile and formerly overseas sales and marketing GM for JVC Mobile Entertainment.
Turner added, “This allows us to track industry trends more closely and respond more quickly.” Other JVC Mobile personnel will include Chad Vogelsong, marketing GM, formerly marketing manager for JVC Co. of America.
JVC Mobile Company of America will be a division of JVC Americas Corp.
